The Role

RCA Records UK is looking for a talented Audience Development Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for building & managing audiences for our incredible roster of talent, as well as planning and execution of social and content activations for both our artists and trending tracks. You will be an integral part of the RCA marketing team and report directly to the Senior Digital Marketing Manager. You will put together communication strategies across owned channels (CRM, Websites), social, and streaming accounts with the objective to grow our artists’ audiences, drive engagement, loyalty and advocacy with fans and a mass audience and achieve streaming and sales objectives. You will possess excellent verbal/written communication & copy-writing skills, have expert knowledge of social media and social media trends, be highly creative and relish digital opportunities for artists and their audience. If you have an understanding and personal passion for gaming and influencer marketing, that is a plus!!

The RCA label Group UK is a flagship record label that is part of Sony Music Entertainment. Encompassing RCA Records and Since 93.The company has existed since 1919 and pioneered the first ever 45rpm record. RCA has a history littered with legendary artists from Elvis Presley and David Bowie to Diana Ross, Nina Simone, Iggy Pop and Lou Reed. Today UK artists on the label include Little Mix, Bring Me The Horizon, Jake Bugg, Paloma Faith, Mø, and Fredo joining US superstars such as, Beyonce, Lil Nas X , P!nk, Travis Scott  Miley Cyrus and MORE!

What you’ll do:

  • Create content plans to engage audiences and work directly with UK artists on best practices and uses of social media. Work with them to establish their tone and how to tell their story through social media across, TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, YouTube Community/Shorts, CRM and websites.
  • Set campaign-specific targets and use analytics tools to monitor performance, creating meaningful reports that can inform key stakeholders and the wider label.
  • Amplify all elements of the wider campaign (Marketing, promo, etc.) and maximize existing content.
  • Capture and create unique and engaging content, working independently and with agency design support (from quick-fire messaging, images and GIFs to overseeing larger content creation projects).
  • Responsible for updating the label on social updates, driving activations, and coming up with new creative ideas.
  • Monitor topics, news, emerging trends, and new tech and incorporate them into campaigns.
  • Work with central CRM team on mailers and competitions.
  • Develop relationship with Social partners for support.
  • Work with the Marketing & Promotions teams on our track strategy, applying all the above to help amplify trends (challenges, syncs, memes).
  • You will become the department’s expert at Gaming, supporting activations in that space and coming up with new ideas, working with the Gaming Lead in 4th Floor Creative.
  • Responsible for YouTube optimizations (Thumbnails, Keywords, Descriptions, retail links).
  • Manage artist profiles and playlists across Spotify For Artist and Apple For Artist, identify missing artist playlists and curation issues.

Who you are:

  • You are obsessed with social media and internet culture
  • You will already have experience in devising and executing audience-led social strategies based on audience insight for a music, media or entertainment brand.
  • You will be a social media native, who is savvy across all social platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Facebook, YouTube) and you will be a Tik Tok user and enthusiast!
  • Passion for audience development, copywriting and communities.
  • Experience with Social analytics platforms, ability to interpret, present and action data effectively.
  • Experience with Photoshop, video editing software such as Premiere, Sheets/Excel & knowledge of HTML/CSS
  • Passion for Gaming
  • You will be a genuine music lover, with a passion and genuine interest in catalogue music.
  • You will be able to think creatively about campaigns
  • You are able to pitch and clearly communicate ideas internally and to external partners
  • You will already have examples of working to tight deadlines, often working across multiple projects simultaneously and ability to keep calm when working under pressure.
