The Assistant PR Manager UK & Ireland will be responsible for implementing effective PR strategies to engage consumers in Scotland, England and Ireland via the successful creation of impactful and integrated PR campaigns. They will undertake activities that generate coverage in target consumer media which increase brand awareness and stimulate a growth in tourism revenue.
Working as part of the Consumer PR team, the post holder will form strong relationships with media, consumer brand and tourism partners to help create and deliver successful PR campaigns. Specific responsibilities include developing news worthy PR stories, media management of broadcast media, national and online outlets as well as supporting the wider consumer PR team on pan team projects and timely evaluation of results. Effective team working is essential within this post.
The volume of enquiries and the fast paced nature of this role mean it is essential the Assistant PR Manager demonstrates a competent understanding of PR tools and tactics as well as a confident approach to working with the media. This press office management needs to be teamed with generating new and exciting PR hooks and tactics that go beyond traditional travel PR coverage and create word of mouth campaigns.
The post holder will be required to work to an agreed set of performance measures for both activity and individual performance and demonstrate strong drive for results and levels of customer service.
